CEO Meg Whitman has restructured Hewlett Packard Enterprise infrastructure into these distinct entities: server, storage, networking and infrastructure, Cloud and solutions-selling group. HP Inc. is the printer and personal systems group.
Whitman says splitting Hewlett-Packard into 2 companies will make it fleet footed and more innovative. “Growth and being at the top of the list”, is her goal, and this appeals to many. Those who disagree with Whitman’s strategy, according to Whitman “have delivered the company significantly and is poised to take on these two unique company’s.
I have to agree with her. Carly Fiorina has a brilliant mind. She was in some very difficult circumstances and her execution of the merger with Compaq, while admittedly interesting was a mistake. And that is only my opinion. It’s about taking care of employees, the company and the shareholders — in that order — as Richard Branson has repeatedly suggested.
